A few missed bills may not stop you from buying a home.

With something more serious on your record, like a County Court Judgement (CCJ), hope isn’t lost, but you'll need to dedicate some time and effort into improving your score. Your credit report shows the past 6 years of your financial activity. If you build up good credit in that time, you can improve your chances of getting a mortgage.

We are unfortunately unable to help you on your home buying journey currently if you have any of the following;

  • Any CCJs over £100 that have been active within the last 3 years.

  • Any defaults over £300 that have been active within the last 3 years.

  • Any unsatisfied CCJs or defaults.

  • Taken out or are currently repaying a payday loan within the last 6 months OR

  • Have or plan to enter into a;

    • Bankruptcy/ Sequestration Order

    • Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) / Trust Deed

    • Debt Management Plan (DMP)

    • Administration Order

    • Debt Relief Order

We also require applicants to have at least a "good" credit score.

If you have a satisfied CCJ under £100 or default under £300 within the last 3 years please reach out to us on live chat to discuss as we might be able to help you.
