You are absolutely free to appoint your own conveyancer.

Your selected firm must have at least three partners approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).

Please note that if you choose to do so there is a £400 fee payable by you for conveyancing work undertaken on our behalf.

What does the £400 fee cover?

This fee covers Juno Legal’s work to complete the following:

  • Verify your chosen conveyancer

  • Verify the seller’s conveyancer

  • Raise enquiries on Generation Home's behalf to ensure the property matches our lending criteria and the mortgage terms and conditions

  • Handle with the purchaser’s chosen conveyancer’s replies to enquiries and any questions they may have on the mortgage documentation supplied

  • Ensure the correct transfer of mortgage funds to the seller’s conveyancer and charge registration on completion of the mortgage.

This fee is not charged to customers who use Juno as we already have a panel agreement in place with Juno Legal and they are aware of our underwriting criteria and mortgage terms and conditions and are verified by us to complete the conveyancing process safely.
