If you miss a mortgage payment, we have to report it to credit agencies. But reaching out to discuss your options won't hurt your score.

Contacting us to talk about your options won’t affect your credit rating – so if you’re concerned about affording your monthly payments, we recommend you reach out to discuss how we can support you.

Your credit score also will not be impacted if you choose to use the measures available in the mortgage charter.

However, if you apply for another loan like a mortgage in the future, other lenders will be able to see that you made use of these support measures, and this might impact whether they decide to lend to you.

As usual, if you miss any mortgage payments, we have to report this to the credit bureau and this will have a negative impact on your score. And if you stop paying your mortgage, you could lose your home.
