I have a default, can I still get a mortgage with you?

We may be able to consider a default, we will need to know some more information surrounding this.

We understand that you may have had some less than ideal historical credit.

However, we do take your historical and current credit file into consideration when assessing your mortgage application.

When applying, we would need to know the following:

  • When did the default occur?

  • Is it satisfied/paid off now? If so, when was it paid off?

  • How much was the default for and what was it for? For example, was it for a mobile phone bill?

Once we know this information we can make a decision on whether we can lend to you right now.

We might need some additional information, but we will let you know if we do.

For more information or to speak to someone about this, email us or chat to us on Live chat (this can be found on the bottom right-hand side of our website)
