Yes, you can get a Gen H mortgage on a zero hours contract.

Please keep in mind that we will need to see 12 months of contract history as well as your latest contract.

Criteria details

Income on zero hours contracts can be considered if the applicant has 12 months continuous employment within that role.

Cases with less than 12 months within the role may be considered if the applicant:

  • Has worked in a similar previous employment

  • Is working in a skilled or professional role

Required documents

  • Latest 2 months payslips

  • Bank statements to show 12 months' continuous employment OR Contract evidencing 12 or more months' continuous employment

  • Copy of the applicant's current employment contract to confirm no end date
