Yes, it can. We can look at properties up to seven months away from them being completed.

The valuation will be carried out using the floor plan provided by the builder or developer. The valuer can also use a plot map if one is available. This is a map showing all properties being built in one diagram and these tend to be available for larger home developments.

The valuer would then look at similar properties in the local area for comparison to the property you are purchasing.

We also won't ask for an updated valuation to be carried out on build completion, unless the finished property is significantly different from the floor plan, or it has been 180 days since the original valuation. This is because all of the valuations are valid for 180 days.
