What is a maintenance payment?
A maintenance payment is an arrangement where one parent makes regular payments towards the care of a child or children.
It can either be a private arrangement, or it can be determined by a Child Maintenance services and/or a Court of Law.
Can I use maintenance payments as part of my income?
We can only consider maintenance payments as income if it is court-ordered. We will also ask to see proof of this as part of your mortgage application.
When completing our affordability calculator, there is a section under income where you can include these payments.
