How much Stamp Duty do I pay as a first-time buyer?
As a first-time buyer, you don't pay any Stamp Duty on properties purchased for less than £300,000.
First-time buyers paying between £300,001 and £500,000 will receive a discount (relief), where Stamp Duty will be 5% of the amount of the purchase price in excess of £300,001.
If the price is over £500,000, you cannot claim the relief.
