Your first payment will be 7 working days after your mortgage completes, or your chosen payment date, whichever is later.

When is my first mortgage payment?

Your first mortgage payment will be the full monthly payment amount shown on your mortgage documents.

How much is my first mortgage payment?

Mortgage payments are made up of principal and interest.

How are mortgage payments calculated?

It can take up to five working days for the monthly payment you make to be taken from your account to clear.

How long does it take for my mortgage payment to appear on the dashboard?

What happens if I miss a mortgage payment?

Gen H can't accept mortgage payments from a credit card.

Can I pay for my mortgage with a credit card?

You can update your payment day from your dashboard.

How do I change my mortgage payment date?

You're required to cover your whole mortgage payment each month, but how you split payments is up to you.

How payment periods work

We lock payment periods 5 working days before they start. If you're within that window, changes will take effect from your next payment.

How do I make a mortgage overpayment?

What is an overpayment and what are the benefits?

As a group, you can pay up to 10% of your loan balance (the balance when your current fixed initial interest rate started) per year.

What is the maximum I can overpay by?

An Early Repayment Charge is payable when you repay part or all of your mortgage over a specified limit.
